Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support AFSOC DMATS under the TISC program at Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role covers design, development, delivery, and sustainment of critical services and involves coordinating with stakeholders and leading program reviews.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 4 years with a Master’s
  • 10 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in managing program execution and service delivery across a complex program.
  • Provide oversight of program requirements, including funding, status, performance, and support expense planning (Labor, Travel, ODCs).
  • Manage spend plans, establish burn charts, and assist TDL Lead in risk mitigation to avoid cost overruns and identify underruns.
  • Assist in coordinating program requirements across planning stages with stakeholders, partners and end‑users.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
  • Act as customer contact for program activities, including leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Support development of new business or expansion of services with the customer.
  • Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems, and secure solutions.
  • Lead or direct work of subordinate employees, identify service delivery gaps, performance deficiencies, and manage risks and corrective actions.

Job Overview

Deputy Program Manager (DPM) supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Technology, Integration, and Support Cooperative (TISC) under the Decisive Mission Actions and Technology Services (DMATS) task order. Responsible for program management functions covering design, development, delivery, and sustainment of key TISC services.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Program Manager in managing program execution and service delivery across a complex program.
  • Provide oversight of program requirements, including funding, status, performance, and support expense planning (Labor, Travel, ODCs).

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 4 years with a Master’s; or 10 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience managing projects under an Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) award fee Task Order.
  • Experience managing IT development and engineering projects and sustainment operations.
  • Experience writing, modifying, and negotiating subcontracts and Statements of Work.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex, long‑term challenges.
  • Experience working with Air Force Special Operations Command and understanding of its structure.
Physical Requirements
  • Standard office environment.
  • Not required to lift more than 40 pounds above three feet.
