Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead onsite operations for NBC facilities. You will work with the Program Manager to ensure day-to-day contract execution and compliance with performance requirements.

In the PM's absence, you will assume duties and authority to keep programs on track. You will develop complex analyses, plans and cost estimates, coordinate with government and contractor teams, and provide briefings to USCIS officials.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of comprehensive business or operations experience or a Bachelor's degree in program management, business or public administration, technical management, information systems, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Must have working knowledge of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• If PMI PMP certification is used in place of educational requirements, provide certification number/date and have 10 years of project management experience including 3 years in government contracts environment.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating activities/resources, preparing complex analytical products, making sound decisions, communicating with senior stakeholders, and responding under pressure.
• Active Secret security clearance and ability to satisfy USCIS suitability and badging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Program Manager to oversee day-to-day contract operations across NBC facilities and ensure contractual/performance requirements are met.
• Assume the Program Manager's duties and decision authority when the PM is absent.
• Plan and implement project activities and resources; meet deadlines and maintain operational agility amid changing priorities.
• Assign tasks, supervise staff, support training and development, and track performance.
• Assess contract compliance and develop recovery plans for changes, emergencies, and disruptions.
• Develop complex analyses, cost estimates, and reports for operational/management decisions.
• Interact with Government and contractor representatives; respond to inquiries and present briefings to USCIS management.
• Prepare and revise standard operating procedures to ensure consistent program implementation.
