Job summary

BlueWater Federal Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Deputy Program Manager to oversee a major DoD communications, network, cybersecurity, and IT services program in Colorado Springs, CO.

The role supports the Program Manager, leading cross-functional teams and guiding transition, staffing, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate has a DoD or Federal leadership background, a bachelor’s degree, and a strong grasp of enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and mission-support environments.

Qualifications

• Active DoD/ Federal security environment exposure preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years leading DoD or Federal technical programs.
• Experience with DoD communications, enterprise IT, networking, cybersecurity, service management, configuration management, and mission-support environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager and assume PM responsibilities when required.
• Lead daily program operations across technical, functional, operational, and subcontractor teams.
• Support program transition, stabilization, workforce readiness, staffing, onboarding, training, retention, and knowledge transfer.
• Manage program performance, schedules, quality, risks, issues, resources, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Government customers, subcontractors, teaming partners, and senior leadership.
• Support financial planning, staffing forecasts, cost control, and subcontractor performance.
• Maintain program governance, quality, risk, configuration management, and continuous-improvement processes.
• Promote a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, workforce stability, and mission success.
