Job summary

The role is contingent upon contract award and involves coordinating with government customers, subcontractors, and leadership. The ideal candidate has DoD leadership experience, a bachelor's degree, and security clearance eligibility, with preferred PMP/PgMP credentials and advanced degree.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• 8+ years of leadership experience on DoD or Federal technical services programs.
• Knowledge of DoD communications, enterprise IT, networking, cybersecurity, service management, CM, and mission-support environments.

Overview

BlueWater is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support a large, complex U.S. Department of Defense communications, network, cybersecurity, engineering, and information technology services program in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager and assume PM responsibilities when required.
• Lead daily program operations across technical, functional, operational, and subcontractor teams.
• Support program transition, stabilization, workforce readiness, staffing, onboarding, training, retention, and knowledge transfer.
• Manage program performance, schedules, quality, risks, issues, resources, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Government customers, subcontractors, teaming partners, and senior leadership.
• Support financial planning, staffing forecasts, cost control, and subcontractor performance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain the clearance required for contract performance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 8 years of leadership experience supporting DoD or Federal technical services programs.
• Working knowledge of DoD communications, enterprise IT, networking, cybersecurity, service management, configuration management, and mission-support environments.
• U.S. Space Force or U.S. Air Force program leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting mission-critical operations or large programs in the Colorado Springs defense community is preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, or comparable certification is preferred.
• An advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
