Job summary

CACI is seeking a Deputy Program Manager in Illinois to oversee large, multi-team efforts on the DPS/MilMove program. You will manage costs, revenue, and staffing while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry roadmaps.

This role requires active Secret security clearance and PMP certification, with SAFe experience preferred.

  • Contribute to financial reviews for staffing, invoicing, and financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities and mitigate risk for sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to improve processes per SAFe.

The Opportunity:

As the Deputy Program Manager, you’ll report directly to the Program Manager and have direct influence on how company resources are allocated and have accountability for managing costs and revenue to meet budget targets for the DPS/MilMove program. Duties include all areas of project management, from initiation through closeout to ensure the successful execution of the project’s mission, goals, and objectives. This position has direct customer interaction and leads the execution of program goals and objectives. You’ll learn the customer’s business firsthand and contribute to technology roadmaps that align customer requirements with industry advancements and next generation capabilities. This is a fast-paced work environment that directly supports a high impact mission for the Defense Personal Property Program.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the program manager on all program and CACI business activities.
  • Manage day-to-day execution and collaborate across the CACI PMO and leadership team to execute objectives.
  • Lead a large team of professionals to modernize our customers’ IT systems to achieve better business results.
  • Participate in roadmap discussions and incorporate industry experience into solutions and proposed improvements.
  • Contribute to financial reviews for staffing, invoicing, and meeting CACI financial objectives.
  • Partner with the PM and Business Operations Lead to identify opportunities and mitigate risk to create sustainable program growth.
  • Coordinate closely with the Agile team to manage and improve team processes in alignment with SAFe principles, collaborating routinely with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Team Coaches to ensure cohesive planning, execution, and delivery across the Agile Release Train.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Project management expertise for planning, executing, and completing large scale projects across multiple teams.
  • People management skills needed to lead a diverse team of experts across both technical and non-technical roles.
  • History of increasing roles and responsibilities that promote leadership and technical acumen.
  • Financial management skills and an understanding of business drivers and revenue generators.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate plans and strategies to executive level positions.
  • PMP Certification
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Desired:

  • Experience in an Agile software development environment with participation in scrums, program increment planning, and backlog refinement
  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) with at least 10 years of related work experience
  • SAFe Agile Certification

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. $82,100-$172,400
