Job summary

CACI International is seeking a Project Manager to lead and shape project management practices for cutting-edge innovation and engineering projects supporting critical national security missions.

You’ll oversee R&D projects across technical disciplines, guiding them from conception to delivery while establishing robust PM processes and working hands‑on with state‑of‑the‑art technologies. Strong PM fundamentals and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3-5 years of relevant project planning/management experience.
  • PMP or CAPM certification strongly preferred, demonstrating a foundation in PM concepts.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) experience
  • Experience managing technical or engineering projects
  • Experience in government contracting environment and requirements management
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with project management tools such as GitLab, Microsoft Planner, or MS Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work effectively with highly technical and cross‑functional teams
  • Experience developing and managing: Technical reports, client presentations, status reports, risk management documents, requirements traceability, lessons learned

The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for a Project Manager to lead and shape project management practices for cutting-edge innovation and engineering projects that support critical national security missions. You’ll have the opportunity to work across diverse technical domains, collaborating with subject matter experts and highly skilled engineers while introducing modern project management methodologies to drive mission success.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee research and development projects spanning multiple technical disciplines. You’ll work with small to medium-sized cross‑functional teams distributed across multiple labs on campus, guiding projects from conception through delivery. This role offers the unique opportunity to establish and refine project management processes while working hands‑on with state‑of‑the‑art technologies and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field + 3-5 years of relevant project planning/management experience (or equivalent combination).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification strongly preferred, demonstrating a foundation in PM concepts.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) experience
  • Experience managing technical or engineering projects
  • Experience managing projects in a government contracting environment and understanding of government requirements management
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to introduce and adapt these practices
  • Experience with project management tools such as GitLab, Microsoft Planner, or MS Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work effectively with highly technical and cross‑functional teams
  • Experience developing and managing:
  • Technical reports and documentation
  • Client presentations and briefings
  • Status reports and project tracking
  • Risk management documentation
  • Requirements traceability and management
  • Lessons learned and after‑action reports


Desired:

  • Engineering or technical degree
  • Experience contributing to resource planning and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes or federal compliance frameworks
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple facilities
  • Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Change management or organizational transformation experience
