Job summary

Jobs on a Ship is seeking a capable Production Support Technician for remote assignment on the ship's stage, sound, and lighting systems, assisting the AMP and Production Manager to deliver entertainment events.

You will help with technical support for shows, deck activities, talks, set-up of equipment, safety compliance, and maintenance records, while developing specialist skills in sound, lighting, or stage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with provision of technical support for shows, deck activities, talks and events.
• Assist with building scenery, operating follow spots and setup of equipment.
• Follow instructions and work schedules and ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations.
• Complete accurate maintenance and equipment records and comply with the cleaning and maintenance schedule for the department.
• Assist with the regular loading and off-loading of entertainment items to and from the ship and carry out any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Assistant Manager Production and the Production Manager.
• Working with the AMP's to develop specialist skills in sound, lighting or stage.
• Work as part of a production sub-department to ensure ship wide coverage of own specialist area, while still keeping an overview of all entertainment elements.
• Support AMP's in conducting their duties, and support other team members as required.

This is a remote position.

Standard Role Summary Assist the Assistant Manager Production (AMP) in the effective operational delivery of the ship's stage / sound and / or lighting systems and events, providing support to the overall success of the entertainment production.
