Job summary

KMCC is seeking a Stage Technician to join their entertainment division on major cruise lines. The role involves reading specifications, transporting props, and maintaining inventory.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in stage equipment assembly and familiarity with stage productions. This position offers exciting travel opportunities, food and accommodation, and advancement potential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in stage equipment assembly/disassembly.
• Familiarity with stage productions is necessary.
• Ability to perform minor repairs like carpentry and painting.

Responsibilities

• Read stage layout specifications and confer with managers on equipment needs.
• Transport props and equipment to designated areas.
• Assemble props for various Cruise Director's activities.
• Maintain inventory of backstage supplies.

Job Description

• Reads stage layout specifications and blueprints and confers wtih Stage and Production Manager to determine type and location of sets, props, scenery, lighting - and sound equipment required for specific event.
• Gathers and transports props and equipment to designated areas throughout the vessel and ports of call. Assembles props and equipment for a variety of Cruise Director's Division Activities.
• Positions lighting fixtures on and around stage area.
• Maintains inventory of various prize lockers, office supplies and consumable items utilized in the backstage areas.
  

Qualifications

• One to two years experience in the assembly and disassembly of stage equipment and propls.
• Should have familiarity of stage productions
• Ability to perform minor theatrical repair work such as carpentry and painting
• Background in electrical, technical, light and or sound preferred
• Education in Technical Theater, sound, light, A/V preferred
