Job summary

Navis Consulting seeks a dedicated Lighting/Video/Entertainment Technician to operate and maintain lighting, video, laser, and SFX equipment for live shows on a ship, supporting entertainment events and rehearsals in Miami, Florida. You will test, troubleshoot, repair, and run equipment, and assist with load-ins/load-outs and technical runs.

The ideal candidate has theater or live-entertainment tech experience, knowledge of lighting systems, electrical principles, networking, and safety

Qualifications

• Theater/live entertainment technical experience.
• Knowledge of lighting systems, electrical principles, networking, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work at heights and lift up to 50 lb (23 kg).
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing show requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate lighting, video, laser, and SFX systems during shows.

• Operate lighting consoles including GrandMA2/3 and ETC.
• Inspect lighting rigs, cabling, fixtures, and safety equipment.

• Maintain equipment inventories, records, and fault reports.
• Provide general audio/video technical support when required.
• Follow all safety, maritime, and company procedures.
