We Are CASA seeks a Deputy Legal Director to join a national nonprofit fighting xenophobic and discriminatory policies. You will lead litigation, direct legal services, and supervise a diverse legal team across multiple centers.

You will work in a hybrid model with teams in Hyattsville, MD, Baltimore, MD, and Rockville, MD, collaborating with organizers and other departments to advance immigrant rights and racial justice.

Formación

• J.D. required with 5+ years of legal experience, litigation preferred.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Maryland preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and mentor supervising attorneys, staff attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
• Lead litigation and direct legal services in immigration, housing, and civil rights.
• Develop and implement social justice campaigns in coordination with advocacy teams.
• Represent We Are CASA in local, regional, and national spaces and events.
• Prepare funder and stakeholder reports with the Development and Finance Departments.
