Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Deputy IT Lead to join a nationally significant ACAT 1 program using SAFe and MBSE, supporting DEVOPS with robust development, test, and production environments. You will help manage IT staff, ensure secure, scalable IT services, and align projects with organizational goals across teams and the PMO.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in IT with 8+ in management, 20+ personnel leadership, and experience in large programs. Leidos offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years IT-related experience including at least 8 years in IT management.
• Experience leading IT teams of 20+ personnel.
• Extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe practices.
• Experience supporting large-scale programs with technology assessments and roadmaps.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams and customer organizations; TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the IT Lead and mentor IT staff.
• Ensure availability, reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate and prioritize IT projects and initiatives for timely delivery.
• Develop and oversee IT policies, standards, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues and escalate as needed.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-focused service.
• Monitor IT trends and evaluate applicability to the organization.
• Provide regular updates on IT performance, achievements, and challenges.
