Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas in Baltimore is seeking a Deputy Director to plan and implement resident programs at the Residential Re-entry Center (RRC). You will supervise case management, security operations, programming staff, and compliance personnel, ensuring services meet contractual obligations and budget guidelines.

You will work closely with the Program Director, develop policies, track metrics, and report progress.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5–7 years of transferable experience.
• Knowledge of ACA standards, PREA guidelines.
• Experience managing 24/7 facilities and staff.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement resident programs according to strategic objectives.
• Recruit, supervise and evaluate program staff.
• Ensure operations comply with laws, policies, and budgets.
• Develop training for program staff.
• Maintain 24-hour supervisory coverage of the facility.
• Coordinate with Program Director on progress and performance.
