Job summary

DCAS is seeking a dynamic Deputy Director of Career Pathways to expand the City’s internship, fellowship, and scholarship programs. You will lead citywide efforts to broaden access to public service careers, partnering with agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to strengthen diversity and talent pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: master's degree or bachelor's with extensive relevant experience; 18 months in supervisory roles preferred.
• Preferred Skills include internship/fellowship/workforce development leadership, strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, data-driven evaluation, and knowledge of civil service principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of Career Pathways programs from recruitment through completion.
• Develop initiatives to expand pathways into City government with focus on equity and long-term workforce sustainability.
• Manage the Mayor's Scholarship Program, including school engagement, agency coordination, and program evaluation.
• Evaluate new pathway programs and partnerships to support City workforce needs.
• Partner with Office of Citywide Recruitment to align outreach with workforce needs.
• Build partnerships with City agencies, colleges, community organizations, and workforce partners.
• Set program goals, metrics, and outcomes; drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze program data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership and represent Career Pathways in interagency meetings.
