Job summary

The City of New York seeks a dynamic Deputy Director of Career Pathways to lead citywide early career programs, including internships, fellowships, and the Mayor's Scholarship Program. You will partner with DCAS, City agencies, and educational institutions to expand pathways into City service and improve conversion to permanent positions.

You will develop innovative strategies, drive equity and access, and report on outcomes to senior leadership, shaping a diverse and highperforming City

Qualifications

• Experience managing internship, fellowship, scholarship, workforce development, talent acquisition, or early career programs.
• Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives and managing complex projects.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Career Pathways programs from recruitment through completion.
• Develop strategies to expand pathways into City government, focusing on equity and access.
• Manage the Mayor's Scholarship Program, coordinating school engagement and evaluations.
• Evaluate and recommend new pathway programs and partnerships.
• Partner with Office of Citywide Recruitment to align outreach with workforce needs.
• Build and maintain partnerships with City agencies, colleges, and community orgs.
• Establish goals, metrics, and outcomes to measure program effectiveness.
• Analyze program data to inform decision-making and policy.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership on performance and opportunities.
• Represent Career Pathways in interagency meetings and public events.
