Job summary
The City of Scottsdale seeks an experienced Deputy Director of Police Department Technology Services to advance the city's technology strategy and provide essential tools for police personnel. This senior leader will oversee CAD, RMS, mobile computing, and digital evidence systems, ensuring secure and interoperable solutions for 24/7 operations.
Reporting to the Assistant Police Chief, the role directs budgeting, contracts, and programs while coordinating with the city's IT department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Six years of progressively responsible IT experience including three years of managerial experience.
- Experience developing and managing budgets, contracts, or technology programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Technology Services Division of the Police Department under the Assistant Police Chief.
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for technology systems, applications, data and services supporting 24-hour police operations.
- Translate operational and public-safety requirements into effective technology solutions and ensure reliability, security, and interoperability.
