Job summary

The Port of Seattle Police Department is seeking a Police Technology Manager to lead the technology ecosystem, including digital evidence platforms, body‑worn cameras, and in‑car video. This role partners with ICT, Information Security, Procurement, and vendors to align solutions with department needs.

The successful candidate will guide lifecycle management, ensure CJIS compliance, manage digital evidence workflows, and drive cross‑functional technology initiatives in a 24/7 public safety

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience implementing or administering IT systems or body‑worn camera ecosystems.
• CJIS/ACCESS certification within 90 days of employment is required or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or project management is preferred.
• PMP certification and law enforcement experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Port of Seattle Police Department’s technology ecosystem, including public safety systems and digital evidence platforms.
• Serve as the department’s primary technical liaison with ICT, Information Security, Procurement, and vendors.
• Ensure solutions are implemented, integrated, and supported in alignment with departmental requirements.
• Coordinate training, documentation, SOPs, and policy guidance for proper, compliant use of police technology.
