Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources, Inc is seeking a Deputy Director of Expanded Learning to lead quality and performance across nearly 100 EXL programs in seven Bay Area districts. You will mentor Associate Directors, develop leaders, and ensure strong district partnerships while safeguarding program outcomes.

The role requires strategic thinking, equity-driven practices, and collaboration with Operations, Training, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive region-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior leadership in Expanded Learning, youth development, or nonprofit administration.
• Experience managing multi-site programs or high-level managers (3+ sites).
• Deep familiarity with Bay Area school districts.
• Proven ability to implement quality improvement and equitable practices.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar regional budgets and grant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead program quality and performance across ~100 EXL programs.
• Coach Associate Directors to develop leadership and accountability.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to align budgets and processes.
• Translate organizational strategy into regional plans.
• Build and sustain district partnerships and equitable practices.
• Drive cross-functional change with Operations, Training, Finance, and Leadership.
• Monitor student experiences and program outcomes.
• Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure district and community partnerships achieve outcomes.
