Job summary

The New York City Police Department seeks a Deputy Director to deliver fast, reliable, and actionable insights for Department executive leadership. This role bridges technical execution with decision support and translates complex data into plain-language BI while meeting tight deadlines.

As part of the Chief Analytics Officer team in the Police Commissioner’s Office, you will drive decision support, requirements gathering, modernization, and cross-functional project management to advance the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of full-time experience; or
• Associate degree with 6 years of experience; or
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience; or
• Education and/or experience equivalent to 1-3 above.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced quantitative analysis and build automated reports for executive inquiries.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to scope analytical needs and translate into technical solutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and academia to mature data capabilities.
• Independently manage multiple data initiatives under tight timelines.
