Everly Talent is seeking a Deputy Controller to own statutory accounting and financial reporting, shaping the organization’s direction. A technical accounting leader will drive audits, sharpen reporting, and support care delivery for communities in need.

The role requires deep health insurance industry experience, strong technical skills, and a track record with financial statements and regulatory filings. CPA preferred but not required.

• Minimum 10+ years in the health insurance industry.
• Deep experience with insurance statutory reporting and financial reporting.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including researching complex issues and writing technical memos.
• Track record preparing financial statements, regulatory filings, and audited reports.
• CPA preferred, not required.

• Lead statutory and GAAP/GASB financial reporting, including twice-yearly audits.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting workflows and documentation.
• Provide technical accounting oversight and guidance to the accounting team.
• Partner across Finance to keep reporting accurate for regulators, auditors, and leadership.

About the opportunity:

• Lead statutory and GAAP/GASB financial reporting, including twice-yearly audits
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting workflows and documentation
• Provide technical accounting oversight and guidance to the accounting team
• Partner across Finance to keep reporting accurate for regulators, auditors, and leadership

Compensation: $160,000 to $174,313 along with full benefits
