Job summary

Quantinuum seeks an experienced leader to head its global privacy, data protection, and intellectual property functions. This executive will build and scale a high-performing team, advise on product and technology issues, and partner across engineering, security, and commercial teams to embed privacy-by-design in quantum computing initiatives.

Required are a JD or equivalent and 15+ years of relevant legal and regulatory experience, including in-house roles and public company exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Juris Doctor, LLB, or law degree with active admission to practice.
• 15+ years in legal, IP, privacy, or regulatory roles, incl. in-house.

Responsibilities

• Establish and scale global privacy, data protection, and IP legal function.
• Advise on GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, UK GDPR, and other regimes across products and hardware.
• Partner with security, IT, product, and engineering to embed privacy-by-design.
• Draft and negotiate privacy, IP, data-sharing, and cross-border contracts.
• Lead DPIAs, data mapping, vendor risk, incident response, and investigations.
• Build scalable policy frameworks, templates, and governance playbooks.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets, and legal spend.
