Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership.
• 12+ years of legal experience in investments/fintech or financial regulation.
• Experience advising financial institutions, asset managers, or trading firms.

Responsibilities

• Act as the chief legal advisor to the firm and executive leadership.
• Provide guidance on legal, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
• Support domestic and international business growth initiatives.
• Oversee matters relating to investment management, trading activities, market structure, and financial regulations.
• Advise on strategic transactions, commercial agreements, technology partnerships, and vendor negotiations.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory authorities.
• Partner with compliance, risk, operations, and business teams to identify and mitigate legal risk.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Background

• J.D. from a top-tier law school and active bar membership
• 12+ years of legal experience, ideally combining major law firm and in-house experience
• Deep understanding of investment management, hedge funds, quantitative trading, broker-dealer, securities, commodities, or financial regulatory matters
• Experience advising sophisticated financial institutions, asset managers, trading firms, or fintech organizations
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
• Proven leadership experience and ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting technology-driven financial businesses
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and cross-border operations
