Job summary

Availity is seeking a Deputy CISO to lead a global information security team and partner with executives to build a multi-year security roadmap. You will own risk governance, IAM, data governance, disaster recovery, and fraud prevention, while evangelizing security across the organization.

You will report to the CISO and collaborate with a Deputy CISO focusing on application security, security operations, and offensive security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years IT or business leadership experience.
• 5+ years information security/cybersecurity experience.
• Proven SaaS delivery experience.
• Experience with Cloud, SaaS, and IoT security implications.
• Proven leadership of globally diverse teams and executive interaction.
• Track record in information security policies and risk-based decisions.
• Ability to explain security to executive audiences and boards.
• Familiarity with HITRUST, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, FISMA, COBIT, COSO, ITIL.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead 5 direct reports within a 35-40 person global matrix.
• Develop and implement a long-term information security strategy and roadmap.
• Communicate risk levels to executives and board members.
• Oversee security policies, standards, and governance.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance for security programs.
• Drive security awareness and business integration across units.
• Manage vendor and third-party risk and due diligence.
• Oversee incident response planning and breaches investigations.
• Partner with architects, infrastructure, and applications teams on secure development.
