Job summary

Arctic Wolf is seeking a strategic Deputy CISO to lead Security Engineering, SecOps, and GRC in our Pleasant Grove, Utah office. You will shape security strategy, governance, and risk management across the organization, reporting to the CISO and partnering with Legal and Privacy.

You will guide enterprise risk programs, manage budgets, and communicate security posture to the board and executives, ensuring a robust, compliant security program in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership experience directly managing security engineering, SecOps, or GRC teams.
• 10+ years of progressive information security experience spanning technical security engineering and GRC.
• Experience building enterprise risk management programs with risk assessment, risk registers, and reporting to executives.
• Experience managing SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar certification and audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and third‑party risk management.
• Ability to build executive relationships across business and tech leadership and manage competing priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of GRC frameworks (NIST CSF/800-53, ISO 27001/27701, SOC 2, CIS Controls).
• Experience leading security engineering and operations teams, including secure architecture, SOC operations, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages Security Engineering, SecOps, and GRC leadership and teams.
• Set strategy and priorities across security engineering, SecOps and GRC as a unified program.
• Own governance framework and compliance posture across SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701, NIST CSF/800-53, PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA.
• Oversee security engineering roadmap, monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Own enterprise security risk management, risk assessment, reporting, and risk register.
• Manage combined security budgets and contribute to enterprise security budgeting.
• Provide leadership continuity and represent security at executive and board levels.
• Deliver security metrics, KPIs, and risk reporting to leadership and committees.
• Partner with Legal and Privacy on regulatory obligations and customer due diligence.
• Represent Arctic Wolf’s security posture with customers, auditors, regulators, and executives.
