Job summary

Canopy A&D in Irvine, CA seeks a hands-on Director of Operational Technology to own manufacturing IT/OT operations and drive compliance. The role reports to the CIO, with on-site presence five days per week and accountability for budgets and vendor management.

You will manage OT security controls, DMZ boundaries, and data transfer between engineering, ERP/PLM, and shop-floor systems while enabling uptime and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in information or operational technology leadership.
• At least 4 years leading a manufacturing-focused team.
• Hands-on experience with OT/industrial control environments.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT/OT operations across multiple sites.
• Maintain OT asset inventory with model, OS, firmware & patching.
• Enforce segmentation between enterprise and plant-floor networks.
• Lead compliance programs (CMMC, ITAR, SOC 2) and audits.
• Oversee ERP/ MES/ PLM integrations and license servers.
