Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC seeks a Director of OT Engineering to lead the OT infrastructure strategy and hands-on engineering across AD, IAM, security appliances, virtualization, and storage for OT/ICS environments. The role blends strategic direction with technical leadership in Spartanburg, SC and Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• 15+ years infrastructure engineering experience.
• 8+ years in OT/ICS or critical infrastructure in a leadership role.
• Expert-level Active Directory design and governance for OT environments.
• Hybrid identity architectures: Azure AD / Entra ID, CA, PIM.
• Experience with security appliances in OT: NGFWs, NAC, IPS.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi and Proxmox VE with clustering and HA.
• Enterprise storage: SAN/NAS/Ceph and backups.
• Experience running Kubernetes in OT/enterprise contexts.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, CIS Benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute OT engineering strategy and multi-year infrastructure roadmap.
• Lead OT infrastructure team of engineers; provide senior technical leadership.
• Own AD and hybrid Azure AD/Entra ID architecture for OT environments.
• Lead IAM strategy including RBAC, MFA, PAM, and service accounts.
• Oversee design and management of security appliances in OT infrastructure.
• Direct OT virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes.
• Own OT storage strategy: SAN, NAS, Ceph, backups.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, CIS Benchmarks.
• Lead DR and business continuity planning for OT systems.
• Collaborate with OT Cybersecurity to integrate infrastructure with security architecture.
• Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and procurement.
• Establish change/configuration/documentation standards; mentor teams.
• Produce executive-level reporting on health, capacity, risk, and progress.
• Lead cross-functional projects spanning OT network, cybersecurity, and operations.
