Job summary

Oregon Public Defense Commission in Salem, Oregon, seeks a Deputy Chief Information Officer (Manager 3) for a limited duration. Hybrid work 2-3 days/week. Salary range $9,232 - $13,641 monthly. 1 position, through end of biennium with potential permanent funding.

Responsibilities include managing internal data governance, IT management, and biennial governance planning, with data steward duties and collaboration with staff and leadership to support OPDC's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business or public administration, or a closely related field.
• Four years of recent experience managing, directly or through lead workers or lower-level supervisors or managers, staff performing complex duties.
• An advanced degree may substitute for some of the required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a data governance program within the agency.
• IT Management.
• Create and submit a biennial Data Governance Plan to the State Chief Data Officer every even-numbered year.
• Lead data steward duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
