Job summary

University of Central Florida's UCF IT seeks an Associate Vice President and Deputy CIO to serve as second-in-command to the CIO, driving IT policy, governance, and enterprise platforms across the university.

The role leads ERP environments (Workday, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) and Oracle infrastructure, spearheading AI initiatives and partnering with HR, Finance, and Academic Affairs to ensure reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Experience in IT governance, policy, and enterprise IT.
• Higher education or public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CIO with IT governance across the university and champion the framework for decision-making.
• Lead development and enforcement of IT policies and standards for security and interoperability.
• Chair or co-chair governance committees with cross-stakeholder buy-in.
• Act as CIO's delegate in internal and external forums.
• Provide strategic direction for ERP systems and administrative platforms (Workday, PeopleSoft).
• Oversee infrastructure and operations for ERP-related environments including Oracle middleware.
• Lead AI innovation partnerships and enterprise-scale implementations.
• Mentor unit directors and align governance with resource capacity and financial planning.
