Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer, DevOps – Director 1 for its Melbourne, FL facility. This role leads the technical strategy, execution, and integration across deep aerospace programs, managing cross-functional teams across hardware and software, with responsibility for design maturity, safety, and certification.

The ideal candidate has a strong aerospace engineering background, leadership experience across complex programs, and the ability to obtain and maintain US government

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in STEM with 8+ years in aerospace engineering and flight/mission critical systems.
• Leadership in development, integration, test, certification and deployment of air vehicle software/hardware.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems and avionics architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical strategy for aircraft development programs.
• Own technical strategy and execution for hardware/software integration across lifecycle phases.
• Lead and mentor large multidisciplinary teams of engineers.
• Direct integration and test and certification activities for complex aircraft systems.
