This is a time limited non-state service X-16 position. The Deputy Administrator – Tier I (Regional Administrator) – Delta Region is pivotal for delivery of health care services for thirteen (13) counties in the Delta Region: Bolivar, Coahoma, Holmes, Humphreys, Leflore, Quitman, Sharkey-Issaquena, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tunica, Washington, and Yazoo. This leadership role is responsible for, but not limited to, providing oversight of general administrative and service functions relating to the operations of the Delta Public Health Region and the Regional Office - Greenwood. These responsibilities include approving all HR actions, reports, annual regional budget, fiscal accountability; and developing and maintaining effective community relations with the public, county elected officials, and community partners. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Delta Public Health Region and Regional Office to maximize clinical operations in staffing and site efficiencies and patient satisfaction. Oversee Delta Public Health Region’s budget, personnel, property, and resources, ensure efficient allocation of resources and participate in the budget creation. Approve all human resources (HR) actions (hiring, staffing), Participate in hiring process to ensure timely recruitment and placement as well as promoting staff training and development. Develop and execute Delta Region’s strategic plan in collaboration with Delta Team (Regional Health Officer, District Office Systems Advisor, Chief Nurse, Nutritionist Supervisor) that addresses both the immediate health concerns and the long-term health objectives of the Delta Public Health Region.
