Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking an Operations Manager in La Porte, TX to oversee day-to-day depot operations for the Houston La Porte Depot and Port location. You will focus on safety, performance and productivity while coordinating with the Depot Manager.

The role requires 5+ years of management experience in intermodal operations, strong communication, and the ability to manage procurement and inventory. Competitive pay, paid training, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of successful management experience.
• Thorough understanding of intermodal operation and maintenance.
• Basic financial acumen in expenses, revenue, and inventory.
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills are mandatory.
• Open availability and willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day management of employees to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures.
• Monitors operations to ensure KPIs are within acceptable standards.
• Meets customer needs and commitments.
• Oversees procurement to ensure working inventory is on hand and accounted for.
• Partners with leadership to set goals for production, profitability, safety, and compliance.
• Monitors and evaluates performance, providing feedback to employees.
• Identifies local business opportunities and develops impactful relationships.
