Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to develop automated tests for web, mobile, and mainframe applications. You will participate in test design, automation recommendations, and CI/CD integration while ensuring data-driven testing and compliance with risk and cybersecurity practices.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of test automation or software development experience, plus expertise in APIs, automation tools, and containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in test automation and/or software development.
• Experience creating relational database queries and analyzing data (preferences).
• Experience using APIs (SOAP/REST) to get/post information across interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Participates in developing acceptance criteria, test design, and automation recommendations.
• Qualifies tests shortlisted for automation; influences teams to develop atomic and autonomous tests.
• Automates functional and API tests to validate production readiness.
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Writes test results in Test Management tools.
• Derives and prepares test data using database and API queries.
• Collaborates with teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Keeps abreast of testing automation trends.
• Participates in PI, sprint planning, and daily standups.
• Supports automation needs for new projects and upgrades.
• Maintains documentation for testing activities and cases.
• Creates parameters and data for improved testing accuracy.
• Assists with complex testing projects and risk/compliance practices.
