Hiawatha Bank & Trust is seeking a Deposit Specialist to join our team as the primary contact for customers, delivering outstanding service and handling daily deposit tasks.

The full-time role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task across processing deposits, account openings, ACH, wire transfers, and regulatory requirements, with competitive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of two years of teller and/or bank experience is required.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Available to work full-time Monday through Friday 8 hours, with at least 1 Saturday morning per month
• Must be dependable and able to work the required shifts
• Always maintain professional appearance and behavior
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license is required
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with all types of customers
• Must be a team player and willing to jump in to assist with any special projects, etc.

Responsabilités

• Provide outstanding customer service for our valuable customers.
• Open new consumer and business deposit accounts of all types.
• Process incoming returned checks and manage stop payments.
• Handle wire transfers and ACH-related tasks.
• Assist in the administration of the bank’s BSA program and compliance training.
• Prepare schedules and documents for audits.
• Assist branches with operational issues and eStatement processing.
• Support customers with account questions, online banking, and debit cards.
