Job Title: Deposit Operations Specialist (DDA)

Duration: 12 months - Contract to hire

Hourly pay: Up to $45/hr.

Location: Remote with travel involved

Role Overview

This role supports critical core banking conversions, system implementations, and ongoing operational validation. The specialist will focus on Demand Deposit Account (DDA) configuration, system testing, workflow optimization, and issue resolution during active cutover and go-live phases.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Deposit Operations Expertise: Strong background in Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA) and back-office banking deposit operations.
• System & Parameter Configuration: In-depth understanding of deposit account parameter setups, core system configurations, and operational workflows.
• Testing & Implementation: Proven ability to execute user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, mock conversion runs, and cutover activities.
• Problem Resolution: Track record of diagnosing and resolving operational errors, system discrepancies, and workflow bottlenecks in real time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Payment Rails: Hands-on operational experience with ACH processing and domestic/international wire transfers.
• Imaging Systems: Experience with Electronic Image Processing (EIP) and check image clearing systems.
• Conversion Experience: Prior experience supporting bank acquisitions, core banking migrations, or core platform cutovers.

Working Conditions & Expectations

Travel Requirements

• Frequency: Approximately 50%–60% travel based on implementation schedules and project milestones.
• Cadence: Typically 1–2 trips per month, with an average trip duration of 6–9 consecutive days.
• Expense Coverage: 100% company-paid business travel expenses, including airfare, hotel lodging, meals, and ground transportation.

Schedule & Availability

• Standard Phases: Standard business hours (Monday – Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time) during non-travel, steady-state periods.
• Cutover & Implementation Surges: Extended and non-traditional working hours—including evenings, weekends, and late-night/overnight shifts (past midnight)—during active mock runs, testing cycles, and live go-live events.
