Job summary

City National Bank of Florida is seeking a Deposit Support Specialist to ensure daily deposit services tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will troubleshoot issues using the Air System, EIP System and FRB data, assist teammates with workload, and stay aligned with FRB regulations for returns and adjustments.

Responsibilities include reviewing large item applications, processing exception items, handling returns and notices, and maintaining accurate ledger entries.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in bank operations.
• Knowledge of banking regulations.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Accurate typing and grammar skills with strong written and oral communication.
• Understanding of debits and credits.
• Bookkeeping experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Reviews large item applications for fraud, signature, dates and endorsement ensuring verification is accurate and timely.
• Researches and processes all non-post items in the exception system daily and balances entries.
• Processes incoming return item file from FRB in the Fiserv system and prepares checks/notices for client notification.
• Handles exception items correspondence from branches ensuring timely entries to client accounts.
• Handles mail correspondence for collection items ensuring entries are processed to client accounts.
• Performs research to process all incoming and outgoing Federal Reserve adjustments.
• Completes the process for all outgoing returns ensuring FRB file is sent timely.
• Ensures large return wire notifications are sent through E.A.R.N.S. or FRB daily.
• Cross-trains employees on various functions.
• Assists Supervisor with special projects as assigned.
• Ensures general ledger entries are researched and cleared timely.
• Processes TMS transactions for Treasury Services.
• Records and submits daily/monthly volumes and trends for management reporting.
• Maintains calendar for the department and reroutes work during absences.
• Performs tracking and research for special projects as assigned by management.
• Provides support and back-up to fellow employees.
