Job summary

City National Bank of Florida is seeking a Deposit Support Specialist to ensure daily deposit services operations run accurately and within time constraints. You will troubleshoot using the Air, EIP, and Exception Processing systems while supporting branches with inquiries and deadlines.

The role requires 5–7 years in bank operations, knowledge of FRB regulations, and strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in bank operations.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Accurate typing, spelling and grammar; strong written and oral communication.
• Understanding of debits and credits.
• Bookkeeping experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Reviews large item applications for fraud, signatures, dates and endorsements to ensure verification is timely.
• Researches and handles non-post items daily in the exception system and balances entries.
• Processes incoming return items from FRB in Fiserv and prepares checks/notices for client notification.
• Handles exception items correspondence from branches for timely client account entries.
• Manages mail correspondence for collection items and applies entries to client accounts.
• Performs research to process Federal Reserve transactions and adjustments.
• Completes outgoing returns and communicates with Computer Operations.
• Ensures large return wire notifications are sent through ERN or FRB daily.
• Cross-trains staff on various functions.
• Assists Supervisor with special projects.
• Ensures general ledger entries are researched and cleared timely.
• Processes TMS transactions for Treasury Services.
• Records and reports daily/monthly volumes for management.
• Maintains department calendar and reroutes work during absences.
• Performs tracking and research for special projects.
• Provides support and back-up to colleagues.
