Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist for a bank client in Oak Brook, IL. You will ensure frontline staff have the tools to assist customers, adhere to regulations, and stay current with procedures.

The role offers an hourly rate up to $25 and a benefits package. Responsibilities include processing debit disputes, ACH support, overdraft management, item returns, mobile deposits review, holds, and reconciling bank GLs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years in Bank Operations, Debit Card processing, or related experience.
• Experience with FISERV DNA is a plus.
• Knowledge of applicable federal guidelines and compliance regulations.
• Ability to use a 10-key calculator and standard office equipment.
• Strong time management, communication, and independence to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process debit card disputes, fraud notices, and lost/stolen alerts.
• Support daily ACH processes, including files setup and prenotes.
• Manage overdrafts, notify customers, and report to ChexSystems as needed.
• Process incoming returns and notify account officers of potential issues.
• Review mobile deposits and verify endorsements for fraud.
• Handle exceptions such as non-posts and stop pays.
• Review new holds for accuracy and coordinate with Retail Team.
• Balance and reconcile multiple bank GLs and internal DDAs.
• Monitor Positive Pay and process refunds when required.
• Review checks for fraud signals, signatures, and endorsements.
