The Lake Shore Bank is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist to support deposit and payment activities, including ACH processing, wire transfers, item processing, and digital banking services. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance across multiple platforms and maintain strong internal controls.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in banking or related financial institution.
• AAP certification preferred or eligible within 1 year of hire.
• Experience with ACH, wires, item processing and electronic banking platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily operational functions supporting deposit and payment activities, including ACH processing, wire transfers, item processing, and digital banking services.
• Process, review, and monitor transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and policy compliance.
• Support electronic banking platforms (online banking) by maintaining user access and resolving issues.
• Execute wire transfer processing, verification, and callback procedures per internal controls and fraud standards.
• Process and balance check and item transactions, including exception handling and reconciliation.
• Administer debit card and ATM services, including maintenance and issue resolution.
• Support merchant services onboarding, maintenance, and inquiries.
• Review ACH activity, file processing, exceptions, returns, and notifications of change.
• Assist ACH origination administration, including customer setup and risk assessment.
• Monitor ACH activity for unusual patterns and potential fraud.
• Ensure compliance with NACHA rules, BSA/AML, Regulation E, and other regulatory guidance.
• Dispute handling under Regulation E in compliance with regulatory timeframes.
• Identify and resolve operational discrepancies and customer-impacting issues.
• Maintain records and audit trails for audits and reviews.
• Support internal control reviews, user access reviews, and certifications.
• Monitor transactional activity and escalate suspicious activity per policy.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure service delivery.
• Support implementation and maintenance of banking systems and emerging payment tech.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation while preserving controls.
• Serve as a backup to Call Center when needed.
• Complete additional operational tasks and projects assigned by management.
