Job summary

Metro Credit Union is seeking a strategic and hands-on Deposit Operations Manager to lead critical deposit and payment operations, modernize processes, and elevate member experiences. In this role you will oversee daily ACH, wire transfers, check processing, and account maintenance, while driving automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 7+ years of experience leading Deposit Operations within a financial institution.
• Proven experience managing high-volume operational teams and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of ACH and NACHA rules, Regulation E and Regulation CC requirements, wire transfer operations, check processing and exception management, and operational risk controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting audits, examinations, and operational control environments.
• Demonstrated success leading process-improvement and operational-change initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Oversee daily deposit operations, including ACH transfers, wires, checks, maintenance, statements, and notices.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation, leveraging AI-enabled capabilities.
• Strengthen risk and compliance controls and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit, Fraud, and Financial Crimes teams.
• Manage operational relationships and change, including product/platform implementations and vendor management.
