CNB Bank in Carlsbad, NM seeks a Deposit Operations Specialist to support department functions, assist customers by phone, process cycle statements and notices, and handle daily mail and deposit documentation. The role reports to the VP of Operations and requires attention to detail in reconciliations, item processing, and regulatory compliance.

The position is full-time with standard banking hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00–5:00, and offers growth opportunities within the Deposit Operations

Formación

• Requires minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.
• Ability to navigate shared drives and office software.

Responsabilidades

• Be well versed in core system inquiry functions.
• Assist with file retention and internal documentation.
• Understand basic general ledger inquiry and transaction posting.
• Develop knowledge of daily returned items, including NSF/OD lists and processing decisions.
• Review and process unposted/exception transaction lists across accounts.
• Develop knowledge of daily general ledger reconciliations and entries.
• Understand NACHA ACH guidelines for paper checks and electronic returns.
• Handle legal orders/levies/garnishments/reclamations.
• Review overdrawn accounts and report to credit agencies.
• Manage overdue safe boxes per NM Holders’ requirements.
• Understand dormant accounts/escheatment basics.
• Research transactions using core system reports and FedLine Web.
• Perform QA and compliance reviews for new accounts.
