Job summary

United Community Bank is seeking a full-time Deposit Account Maintenance CSR in Blairsville, GA. The role handles customer calls and emails, supports branch questions on IRA and HSA matters, and processes account maintenance on DDA, SAV, COD, IRA, and HSA accounts using our core and online systems.

The position requires knowledge of banking regulations, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Travel up to 5% may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college or equivalent education preferred.
• 1-2 years experience as CSR or in a related field preferred.
• Good understanding of bank operations, IRA and HSA regulations as related to job role.
• Ability to understand computer functions and navigate web-based programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and general office equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work in an office with minimal personal interaction.
• Detail-oriented with ability to focus for repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and service customer phone calls and emails.
• Provide efficient, accurate, and high-quality service while maintaining good customer relations.
• Support bank locations with IRA and HSA questions.
• Process account maintenance requests and corrections on various accounts.
• Monitor IRA distributions for customers age 70 ½ and communicate accordingly.
• Communicate required minimum distributions to IRA customers.
• Assist affiliate banks and other departments in resolving core balancing issues.
• Review changes for accuracy and verify authorities from documents.
• Train and cross-train in Deposit Account Maintenance functions.
• Back-up Deposit Account Maintenance/Deposit Documentation staff as needed.
• Assist with implementing departmental procedures and policies.
