Job summary

Austinworks is seeking a Deployment Strategist to work at the crossroads of AI, product, strategy, and customer engagement. You will work directly with customers and executives to understand business challenges, craft growth strategies, deploy AI-powered solutions, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

This highly autonomous, client-facing role involves managing multiple customer deployments, building scalable processes, and partnering with product and engineering to improve offerings.

About the Role

Our client is hiring a Deployment Strategist to operate at the intersection of AI, product, strategy, and customer engagement.

You’ll work directly with customers and executives to understand business challenges, develop growth strategies, deploy AI-powered solutions, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

This is a highly autonomous, client-facing position where you’ll manage multiple customer engagements while helping build the processes and playbooks for a growing organization.

What You’ll Do

• Own strategic relationships across a portfolio of 20–30 customer accounts.
• Work directly with executives and business leaders to understand challenges, define success metrics, and develop actionable strategies.
• Leverage AI agents and automation tools to execute initiatives, analyze performance, and improve customer outcomes.
• Manage multiple concurrent customer deployments, balancing competing priorities and commercial objectives.
• Lead customer onboarding, performance reviews, strategic presentations, and ongoing engagement.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements.
• Help establish scalable processes and best practices for the company's customer-facing function.

What We’re Looking For

• Background in management consulting, deployment strategy, product management, strategy & operations, customer success, or another highly client-facing role.
• Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and ability to build trusted customer relationships.
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial judgment, and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools, agents, or workflow automation to improve efficiency.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑paced startup environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience deploying AI products or working in forward-deployed roles.
• Previous startup or founding‑team experience.
• Experience owning business metrics such as revenue, retention, or growth.
• Exposure to performance marketing, advertising technology, or customer acquisition.

Compensation: $150,000–$185,000 base + equity
