Job description

Job Introduction

Frequentis USA Inc. is dedicated to creating a safer world. With over 75 years of experience, Frequentis understands that controllers in safety‑critical situations encounter new challenges daily. Our mission is to develop and market highly reliable, optimized, custom‑tailored, and user‑centric communication and information systems for mission‑critical solutions. We serve many U.S. government agencies including the FAA, DoD, and NASA.

Key Tasks
  • Oversee site requirement definition and readiness activities, coordinating inputs across internal engineering, program, and customer teams.
  • Act as the primary interface for on‑site customer representatives and stakeholders (e.g., airport management, local engineering, facility management), ensuring clear communication, coordination, and timely issue resolution.
  • Conduct site surveys and develop site survey reports documenting existing conditions, constraints, interfaces, safety considerations, and action items required to support deployment.
  • Oversee site preparation, construction, and installation activities, coordinating access, sequencing, logistics, and required permits/approvals in alignment with project requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the camera mast siting process, including evaluation of candidate locations, constructability constraints, stakeholder reviews, and documentation of siting decisions.
  • Develop and maintain the site installation plan, including site‑specific implementation processes and workflows, roles/responsibilities, dependencies, and readiness/exit criteria.
  • Monitor and manage site deployment schedules; track progress against milestones, surface risks/issues, and provide regular status updates to the program team and customer stakeholders.
  • Manage site‑specific contractors and subcontractors, including scope coordination, daily/weekly planning, adherence to site rules, quality expectations, and closeout deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate site implementation risks; develop and track mitigation actions, escalation paths, and contingency plans to protect cost, schedule, and safety objectives.
  • Own required site deliverable packages and ensure they are completed, version‑controlled, and approved by the appropriate internal and customer stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Project/Program Management).
  • 5+ years (7+ preferred) of experience leading or coordinating site deployments/field implementations, construction/installation activities, and multi‑party schedule execution.
  • Experience in aviation, ATC, or other safety‑critical operational environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience installing/implementing equipment in an air traffic control environment (or similarly safety‑critical environment) with an understanding of operational restrictions, access controls, work windows, safety practices, and coordination requirements.
  • Experience working with FAA and/or airport stakeholders (engineering, facilities, operations, security, and management) and serving as an on‑site customer‑facing point of contact.
  • Strong documentation and planning skills (e.g., site survey reports, installation plans, implementation workflows, schedule/status reporting, and risk/issue management).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic), including periodic on‑site support during survey, construction, installation, and cutover/acceptance activities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA‑issued Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card to access FAA facilities and perform on‑site responsibilities, in accordance with applicable federal identity proofing and credentialing requirements.
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Health Savings Accounts
  • Competitive 401(k) Plan with company match and immediate vesting
  • Employee Life Insurance & AD&DD
  • Company‑paid Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Generous holidays, including a full week off from December 25 to January 1
  • PTO that scales with tenure and sick leave
  • Company‑sponsored team‑building activities to boost morale and productivity.
  • Bonus Plan
