Job summary

Base, America’s next-generation power company, is seeking a finance partner to own install and field-service economics end-to-end. You’ll forecast costs, build unit-cost models, and drive long-term margin improvements for thousands of batteries deployed across Texas and beyond.

You’ll ride along on installs, translate field data into actionable insights for crews, supply chain, and executives, and partner with operations to push cost down while maintaining service quality.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years in finance or operations at deployment-, field-service-, or logistics-heavy business at meaningful scale.
• Track record of building install-cost or service-cost models that drove real cost-down programs in production.
• Strong intuition for field economics—labor productivity, route density, fixed-vs-variable structure, and warranty cost considerations.
• Comfortable in the field—will ride along on an install, walk a service yard, and pressure-test numbers with a crew lead.
• First-principles instincts on physical operations—can model trucks, technicians, parts, and homes without losing the unit.

Responsibilities

• Own the forecast and BvA for install cost, field labor, logistics, permitting, and ongoing O&M with high accuracy.
• Build the unit-cost model for installations across geographies and site complexity, reconciled weekly with field data.
• Partner with deployments and field-service leadership on cost-down roadmaps to improve efficiency.
• Own the financial framework for the 10+ year service obligation—truck rolls, parts, warranty reserves, fleet margin.
• Interface with field ops, supply chain, customer service, and accounting to feed inputs into the corporate model.
• Ride along on installs and service calls to validate figures with crews.
• Use AI tooling to compress analytics cycle time and automate data pulls from dispatch/ERP/field systems.
