Job summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled engineer to provide onsite and remote support for airborne ISR platforms across CONUS/OCONUS locations. You will collect and troubleshoot mission equipment data, implement AS9100D-compliant QA, and maintain tactical communications systems.

Responsibilities include configuring networks, AD/GPO/DNS, patching Windows/Linux, and Lab development. A SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS; US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher with related field emphasis.
DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level II or higher certification desired.
Current Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain TS clearance.
Experience with DoD avionics, ISR systems, and lab development.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote support for aerial ISR platforms to CONUS/OCONUS customers.
Collect, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and compile mission equipment data.
Implement configuration management, safety, and AS9100D-compliant QA.
Maintain tactical communications suites including CSEC devices.
Engineer and troubleshoot networks, encryptors, firewalls, routers, switches.
Develop and document preventive maintenance for mission equipment.
Develop and troubleshoot the on-site Sensor Integration Lab.
Patch software and troubleshoot Microsoft and Linux products.
Implement Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
Create documentation for new technologies and configuration procedures.
Coordinate updates with Leidos and customer elements; maintain local security measures.

Job description

Provide onsite and remote support for multiple manned aerial ISR platforms to customers at CONUS and OCONUS locations
Collect, maintain, service, troubleshoot, test, and compile technical data for aircraft mission equipment and Government Furnished Equipment
Implement configuration management, safety, and quality assurance processes according to AS9100D and contractual requirements
Maintain tactical communications system suites, including applicable CSEC
Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks, encryptors, firewalls, routers, and switches
Assess, develop, perform, and document preventative maintenance checks for mission equipment
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot the on-site Sensor Integration Lab
Perform software patching and troubleshoot Microsoft and Linux products
Implement and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
Create documentation for new technologies and configuration procedures
Configure tactical communications according to local requirements and coordinate updates with Leidos and customer elements
Maintain, update, and implement tactical radio configurations using mission management software tools
Serve as local CSSR representative and coordinate with Leidos and customer points of contact
Develop, manage, and implement local security measures for hardware, platforms, spares, and CSEC devices
Perform additional duties based on platform requirements or contractual needs

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience in Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers, or Master’s with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
Additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree
DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level II or higher
General IT knowledge and ability to identify issues and research corrective actions
Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies
Willingness to travel and/or deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous and hardship remote locations, as required
Current Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Obtain additional Computing Environment (CE) certification within 6 months
Current SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS
Must be a US Citizen
Prior military Airborne ISR and flight operations experience strongly desired
Knowledge of Leidos IAS ISR platforms strongly preferred
Experience with DOD avionics, EO/IR FMV, tactical communication, navigation, CSEC, SIGINT, and aircraft survivability equipment repair and modification
Experience in systems engineering, ISR sensors, requirements tracking, testing, and validation
Hands-on experience developing systems for Airborne ISR programs and sensors
Understanding of basic electronics principles and theory
Proficiency with test equipment
