Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field Service Representative to join the Integrated Airborne Solutions team in Bridgewater, VA. You will provide onsite and remote support for multiple manned aerial ISR platforms, handling mission equipment and cybersecurity tasks to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires DoD certifications, security clearances, and willingness to deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Prior experience with tactical radios, data links, and IT infrastructure is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2–4 years of related experience in Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level II or higher.
  • General IT knowledge and ability to identify issues and research corrective actions.
  • Willingness to travel and/or deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required.
  • Current Security+ certification or obtain within 6 months.
  • CE certification within 6 months.
  • Current SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Will collect, maintain, service, troubleshoot, test and compile technical data for aircraft mission equipment and GFE.
  • Implement configuration management, safety and quality assurance per AS9100D and contract requirements.
  • Maintain Tactical communications systems, encryptors, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks to maintain mission operations in harsh environments.
  • Develop and troubleshoot on-site Sensor Integration Lab (SIL) to support mission readiness.
  • Perform software patching and troubleshoot Microsoft and Linux products.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Create documentation on new technologies or configuration procedures.
  • Configure tactical communications per local requirements; coordinate updates with Leidos and customers.
  • Maintain and implement Tactical Radio configurations and Mission Management software tools.
  • Serve as CSSR representative for Leidos and customer POCs to manage devices.
  • Develop and implement local security measures for all hardware/equipment.

Description

Leidos' Integrated Airborne Solutions currently has an opening for a Field Service Representative to work out of our Bridgewater, Virginia office. The job of the Systems Engineer is to provide onsite and remote support for multiple manned aerial ISR platforms to our customers at CONUS and OCONUS locations. We are looking for motivated self-starters who want to join a team dedicated to excellence and continuous progress. Candidates should have prior experience with Full Motion Video, Video Distribution, Tactical Radios, and IT Principles.



Primary Responsibilities


  • Will collect, maintain, service, troubleshoot, test and compile technical data for aircraft mission equipment suite/ Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to include, but not limited to; tactical communications BLOS/VULOS (KOR-24, PRC-117, PRC-152, PRC-167, ARC-231), CTDLs (Link-16, BFT/FBCB2), LOS Datalinks (Vortex, MANeT) cryptographic equipment (CSEC), keying data transfer devices (DTDs), IP networking and sub-netting, EO/IR, SIGINT, BLOS and PPL.

  • Implement established configuration management, safety and quality assurance processes IAW AS9100D and contractual requirements.

  • Maintain Tactical communications system suites to include applicable CSEC as required.

  • Engineer, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks to include encryptors, firewalls, routers, and switches

  • Assess, develop, perform and document preventative maintenance checks for all mission equipment as required to maintain mission operations in a harsh environment.

  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot on-site Sensor Integration Lab (SIL) to promote mission readiness and mission equipment scalability as required.

  • Perform software patching and troubleshoot various Microsoft and Linux products as required to maintain mission operations.

  • Implement, and troubleshoot active directory, group policy, and DNS

  • Create documentation on new technologies or configuration procedures for program uniformity.



Secondary Responsibilities


  • Configure tactical communications according to local requirements while also coordinating with Leidos and customer elements all updates or alterations required for mission readiness.

  • Maintain, update and implement all Tactical Radio configurations to include use of Mission Management software tools, network settings and customer required configurations.

  • Serve as local CSSR representative by interfacing with all Leidos and customer POCs to manage, monitor, configure and update tactical communication devices as required to maintain mission readiness.

  • Develop, manage and implement local security measures for all hardware/equipment to include platforms, sparing and CSEC devices.

  • Additional duties as assigned based on specific platform requirements or contractual needs.



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience in one of these areas: Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers. Additional 4 years of experience or may be used in lieu of a degree.

  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level II or higher

  • General IT knowledge and ability to identify issues and research corrective actions.

  • Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies

  • Be willing to travel and/or deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations (including remote locations identified as hazardous and hardship) as required per contract.

  • Current Security+ certification or obtain within 6 months

  • Obtain additional Computing Environment (CE) certification within 6 months

  • Current SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS.

  • Must be a US Citizen



Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior military Airborne ISR and flight operations experience strongly desired.

  • Current or Prior knowledge of direct Leidos IAS ISR platforms to include development, design, integration, platform testing, CONOPS and maintenance practices is strongly preferred.

  • Current experience with DOD avionics, to include but not limited to, EO/IR FMV, tactical communication, navigation, CSEC, SIGINT and aircraft survivability equipment repair and modification.

  • Broad technology experience in systems engineering, ISR sensors, requirements tracking, testing and validation. \"Hands-on\" experience developing systems for Airborne ISR programs and sensors.

  • Experience must include an understanding of basic electronics principles and theory and must be proficient with test equipment.
