Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS seeks an Enablement Engineer / Deployed Engineer to embed AI into internal workflows and products. You will partner with sales, R&D and other functions to deliver AI-powered tools and automations, while aligning roadmaps with engineering and product leadership.

You will operate in a hybrid, on-site role in Boston, reporting to the VP of Corporate Strategy, contributing to data-driven decision making and modern ways of working across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a senior engineer or product manager
• Experience deploying AI functionality within an organization
• Hands-on software development and shipping AI-powered tools
• Fluency in modern AI tooling and LLMs
• Comfort with modern engineering and product practices
• Ability to navigate between strategy and delivery within multiple functions

Are you a senior engineer or product leader with a passion for embedding AI into the way organizations work? Do you have direct experience being deployed or embedded within organisations to build internal products, automations and AI-powered workflows?

If this sounds like you, join the SOPHiA GENETICS Corporate Strategy team as our new Enablement Engineer / Deployed Engineer and enable us to build the internal capabilities that accelerate our mission of democratizing data-driven medicine for patients worldwide.

This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days onsite our corporate office in Boston, MA.

NB: This is an internally deployed role building and embedding functionality for our organisation, not an engineering role working on our AI/ML Platform.

Your Mission

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Strategy, you'll join our team to build internal products, automations, and AI-powered workflows that transform how every function, from sales to R&D, operates. You'll move across the business, identifying high-leverage opportunities and shipping the tooling that makes modern ways of working real. You will also act as a key partner to the our tech and product teams for best practices on delivery, roadmap success, and cross-functional alignment.

• Build internal products and automations: Embed with teams across the company, identify high-leverage opportunities, and ship AI-powered tools and workflows that change how the work gets done.
• AI enablement:Bring modern AI capabilities into every function and help teams adopt them.
• Process and tooling improvements:Examine and improve internal tooling, data flows, and processes — including end-to-end data architecture, starting with sales.
• Internal consulting on tech and product practices:Partner with engineering and product leadership on team structure, roadmap discipline, ownership, and modern ways of working (SCRUM, code reviews, retros).
• Tech reporting and monitoring:Own how we report on tech and product performance internally, and continuously improve it.
• Cross-functional alignment:Support tech and product communications and alignment with the rest of the business.
• Hands-on delivery support:Sometimes roll up your sleeves and help teams ship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a senior engineer or product manager background from a top tech company building complex products.
• Beyond engineering, you'll have direct working experience of building deployed AI Functionallity or AI Enablement within an organisation.
• Strong hands-on building skills. you ship working software, not just diagrams. AI fluency is essential (LLMs, automation, modern AI tooling).
• Dialed into modern engineering and product practices.
• Confident operator - you can walk into any function, diagnose what's broken, and drive change.
• Strong change management instincts - you can win over skeptical teams and make new ways of working stick.
• Comfortable moving between strategy conversations and shipping code in the same week.
