Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking an Enablement Engineer / Deployed Engineer in Boston (Hybrid, 3x/week in office) to embed AI capabilities and build internal products across the organization. You will partner with engineering and product teams to ship AI-powered workflows and internal tooling that accelerate decision-making and operations.

The role requires strong hands-on coding skills, a background in senior engineering or product leadership at a top tech company, and experience deploying AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a senior engineer or product manager background from a top tech company building complex products.
• Direct working experience of building deployed AI functionality or AI enablement within an organisation.
• Strong hands-on building skills; you ship working software, not just diagrams, with AI fluency (LLMs, automation, modern AI tooling).
• Dialed into modern engineering and product practices.
• Confident operator who can diagnose issues across functions and drive change.
• Strong change management instincts to make new ways of working stick.
• Comfortable moving between strategy discussions and shipping code in the same week.

Responsibilities

• Build internal products and automations, embedding AI capabilities across the company.
• Partner with engineering and product leads on team structure, roadmaps, and delivery practices (SCRUM, reviews, retros).
• Own tech reporting and monitoring, continuously improving internal visibility.
• Provide hands-on delivery support when needed to ship tooling across functions.
• Help drive cross-functional alignment across sales, R&D, and other teams.

If this sounds like you, join the SOPHiA GENETICS Corporate Strategy team as our new Enablement Engineer / Deployed Engineer and enable us to build the internal capabilities that accelerate our mission of democratizing data-driven medicine for patients worldwide.

NB: This is an internally deployed role building and embedding functionality for our organisation, not an engineering role working on our AI/ML Platform.

Your Mission

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Strategy, you'll join our team to build internal products, automations, and AI-powered workflows that transform how every function, from sales to R&D, operates. You'll move across the business, identifying high-leverage opportunities and shipping the tooling that makes modern ways of working real. You will also act as a key partner to the our tech and product teams for best practices on delivery, roadmap success, and cross-functional alignment.

• AI enablement:Bring modern AI capabilities into every function and help teams adopt them.
• Process and tooling improvements:Examine and improve internal tooling, data flows, and processes — including end-to-end data architecture, starting with sales.
• Internal consulting on tech and product practices:Partner with engineering and product leadership on team structure, roadmap discipline, ownership, and modern ways of working (SCRUM, code reviews, retros).
• Tech reporting and monitoring:Own how we report on tech and product performance internally, and continuously improve it.
• Cross-functional alignment:Support tech and product communications and alignment with the rest of the business.
• Hands-on delivery support:Sometimes roll up your sleeves and help teams ship.

• 5+ years of experience with a senior engineer or product manager background from a top tech company building complex products.
• Beyond engineering, you'll have direct working experience of building deployed AI Functionallity or AI Enablement within an organisation.
• Strong hands‑on building skills. you ship working software, not just diagrams. AI fluency is essential (LLMs, automation, modern AI tooling).
• Dialed into modern engineering and product practices.
• Confident operator - you can walk into any function, diagnose what's broken, and drive change.
• Strong change management instincts - you can win over skeptical teams and make new ways of working stick.
• Comfortable moving between strategy conversations and shipping code in the same week.
