Job summary

General Atomics is seeking an Avionics Technician for the Aero Services division to support MQ-1C. This deployable, flex hourly role requires travel to diverse locations and live at various sites as needed.

The position involves installation, configuration, and maintenance of UAV electronic equipment, ground control stations, data terminals and GSE, under supervision, with emphasis on troubleshooting and customer support at operational locations.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency is required or substituted by equivalent experience.
• Must troubleshoot at the component level and read/write technical orders and schematics.
• Strong ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
• Extensive use of electronic test equipment, hand tools and measurement devices.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams to support installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate UAVs, ground control stations and support equipment at deployment locations.
• Analyze customer requirements and ensure product implementations meet specs.
• Provide technical support during installation, configuration and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair ground and airborne electronics.
• Install, configure and test computer hardware and software networks.
• Maintain documentation and comply with procedures and orders.
