Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. seeks an Avionic Technician to support deployments, test operations and production at Palmdale/El Mirage, CA. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting UAV avionics and related systems, with significant travel.

Work is onsite with possible CONUS/OCONUS deployments. Candidates should have a technical degree and substantial avionics experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

Requires two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency, plus six or more years' aviation/electronics experience.
Able to troubleshoot at the component level and read blueprints, schematics and orders.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 75% and work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

Install, apply and maintain UAV electronic equipment including ground control stations and data terminals.
Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues.
Provide guidance and training to customers on equipment use.
Operate UAV ground systems at deployment locations.
Review customer requirements and ensure product implementation meets specifications.
