Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks a Field Avionics Technician for Creech AFB to support MCE Maintenance and rotate between 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will install, test, and repair unmanned aerial vehicle electronics and ground control systems under limited supervision.

Applicants should have avionics/electronics experience, be able to read blueprints, use test equipment, and be prepared for travel. TS/SCI eligibility is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires education or formal training equivalent to a two-year technical degree or trade school, plus six or more years in aviation or electronics.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the component level and read/write documentation.
• Proficient in using electronic test equipment and hand tools, including soldering.
• Strong analysis, communication, and teamwork skills; capable of working independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems and RF systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate UAV ground control stations and related systems at operational locations.
• Analyze customer requirements and evaluate product implementation against specifications.
• Provide technical expertise for installation, configuration, and repair of products and systems.
• Perform high level troubleshooting and repair of ground and airborne electronic equipment.
• Fabricate, install, and repair wire harnesses and assemblies as needed.
• Conduct training and provide guidance to staff and customers.
